Jerry Lasco

Jerry is Founder and CEO of Lasco Enterprises, the management company for The Tasting Room, Max’s Wine Dive, and The Black Door, with locations throughout Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. In 2009, the Houston Business Journal named Lasco Enterprises the 13th fastest growing company in Houston, currently with over 150 employees in 3 cities. The company was also awarded the Enterprise Champion Award for its growth, leadership, contribution to employees, and serving the community. Jerry began his career as an entrepreneur in 2003 after spending the past 13 years as a pilot for the US Air Force and Continental Airlines. Jerry is able to offer extensive first-hand insight into what it takes to operate a successful small business, as well as the challenges involved with raising capital for a business owner.

Jerald Reichstein

Jerald is Founder and President of Bouncing Pixel, a Houston-based interactive design agency. His work has won numerous industry awards and has been featured in many publications over the years. Jerald brings a depth of experience in entrepreneurship, technology, and design having launched multiple web-based startups himself including Playnormous and Military Hub. Jerald is also a board member at Westbound Bank and the Technology Incubator of West Houston.

Marc Nathan

Marc is Vice President of strategy at ChaiOne, a digital agency that designs web and mobile applications. He is also founder and CEO of Bulldog Financial, an early stage investment and consulting firm as well as a Partner at Kain Management Group. Formerly, Marc served as director of business development at the Houston Technology Center (HTC) as well as Marketing Chairman of the Houston Angel Network. Marc is actively involved in the early-stage startup scene, advising companies at Capital Factory, Founder Institute, and writing for StartupHouston.

Aaron Woo

Aaron serves as an attorney to companies ranging from early stage startups to public companies. Prior to starting Aaron Woo & Associates, Aaron served as general counsel to a number of technology companies such as Trilogy, Technology Tree, Aspen Technology, and BMC Software. As a strong proponent of entrepreneurship, he advises seed and early stage companies from startup through acquisition by developing IP strategy, implementing business development objectives, and obtaining the necessary financing to position businesses for growth. Aaron also serves on the Venture Capital and Private Equity sub-committee for the State Bar of Texas.

Jonathan ‘J.R.’ Cohen

J.R. has a dynamic and impassioned background rooted in community growth and sustainability with strengths in social media, technology, restaurant operations, and small business development. J.R. is a founding partner of Houston-based You Might Know Me – A Marketing Agency. He is also the founder of WeSLGT, a website that allows local businesses to collaborate and provide sustainable products and services to the community.

Michael Van Patten

Michael is the CEO and founder of Mission Markets and Mission Markets Earth LLC and leads strategic and business development efforts. He is considered an environmental capital markets innovator and is responsible for guiding Mission Markets’ financial and technological innovation and applying it to the social and environmental capital markets. Michael has over 20 years of experience on Wall Street and has been integrally involved in the design and implementation of private placement and illiquid security transactions platforms for several companies including co-founding the highly successful NYPPEX. Michael has been a featured speaker at several environmental and social markets conferences and has written several articles regarding environmental capital markets innovation and financial structure. Michael is also involved in several regional and national working groups that are developing standard metrics to measure biodiversity and habitat function and apply them to financial transactions.
